I still wonder why people ask for their lives to be coloured.

4When I was in my early teens, my father encouraged my existing love for taking photographs quite a bit. He bought me little cameras and I’d be looking at landscapes and such through screens instead of letting my very own eyes feast over them. We grow up though, and sometimes we grow out. However, I thank God I didn’t grow out of taking photographs. I suppose these are here to celebrate the start of my journey of appreciating moments and things without colour. Without sound. Without movement.
Taken from moving vehicles and hotel windows. Taken leaning against a door frame and at the water’s edge. Taken from outside the crowd and the edge of bridges. On empty beaches and quiet evenings. Cold mornings and lonely walks. Here’s to simple and still moments taken with cheap cameras many years ago.
